Below are links to 4 YouTube videos of Mark and Lisa followed by details of Mark’s protocol. The first is Mark’s story summarized in 50 seconds. Below that be sure to watch Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 and read the protocol to get all of the details of Mark’s story.
Mark Manchester was diagnosed with ALS in 2011. He was in a wheelchair by the end of 2012 and by 2015 he could no longer move any part of his body and was dependent on a feeding tube and ventilator. Slowly beginning in 2017 and continuing in 2018 and 2019, Mark begin to improve.
After over three years in a wheelchair and on a feeding tube and ventilator 24/7, Mark improved enough so he could have the feeding tube and ventilator removed and was able to walk on his own with a walker. Mark is not completely healed from ALS. His goal is to run again and ski again. For those who attended the 2019 Healing ALS Conference, please note that Mark was in a wheelchair at the conference only because he broke his leg, not because of ALS.
Mark is Dr. Richard Bedlack, MD, PhD from Duke University’s 42nd documented ALS Reversal. Below is a recent interview we did with Mark and Lisa Manchester.
Mark and Lisa took a multi-pronged approach to healing Mark’s ALS. They remind all who are reading this that they are sharing what worked for them, and may or may not work for others diagnosed with ALS. Each person with ALS has different toxins in their body, different viruses and parasites, different vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and will have different mental/spiritual tools. Each person needs to find their own path to healing. This is what worked for Mark:
- They each researched the internet. They surfed the internet for ideas and as
friends, relatives and medical professionals gave them ideas, they would research these possible solutions.
- Consulted medical professionals. In their case:
- Naturopath. Did basic testing and suggested initial treatment protocols.
- Concierge MD. Bounced ideas off of her and asked her to research items they thought might be helpful to Mark’s healing.
- Nurse Practitioner. The Manchesters have a friend who is a nurse practitioner who has given them ideas, researched for
them and answered questions throughout Mark’s healing. It was she who suggested their naturopathic doctor.
- Physical and Occupational therapists. These have been key to Mark’s healing.
- Neurologist. It was Mark’s neurologist who first suggested the amino acid L-serine, which was a key piece of Mark’s healing.
- Testing.
- Mark and Lisa did a significant amount of testing ordered with the assistance of holistic medical professionals. They felt the NutraEval tests by Genova Diagnostics were very helpful. Gut function was tested, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, heavy metals and more.
- Diet, heal the Gut, correct vitamin and mineral deficiencies and detox.
- Lisa learned quickly that gluten, dairy, sugar and other foods caused
inflammation and these were eliminated quickly, as were artificial flavors, colors and sweeteners. Eggs were never Mark’s favorite and they are largely eliminated because of their pro-viral properties. Vegetables and meat were organic as much as possible, and junk food and fast food were also eliminated. Once Mark went on a feeding tube, Lisa quickly rejected the standard feeding tube formulas and instead chose Liquid Hope or Kate’s Farm since these brands are organic and made from real food. Today, although no longer on a peg tube, Mark takes a serving of H.E.A.L. each day to get clean-sourced vegetables (HealinaMeal.com, use code “HealingALS” for 10% discount). H.E.A.L. can also be used as a complete feeding tube formula.
- Lisa and Mark researched what supplements they needed. Lisa early on figured out that Mark’s gut function was not good, and that he was not absorbing vitamins and minerals from his food so he did not have the building blocks to heal.
- Lisa researched supplements, got recommendations and finally decided upon Solle Naturals to provide what Mark needed to heal his gut, replenish his missing nutrients, and detoxify. She also added other supplements. Mark’s full supplemental protocol
is listed at the bottom of this blog.
- Added L-Serine and Leap2BFit as key supplements that contributed to Mark’s turnaround (leapxx.com, use code “markman” for 10% discount). Mark takes once scoop on an empty stomach in the morning and a second scoop between 5PM and 8PM again on an empty stomach. See below for Mark’s full protocol.
- Lisa learned quickly that gluten, dairy, sugar and other foods caused
- Strong belief in God and positive mental attitude. Both Mark and Lisa say prayer, meditation and positive mental attitude have been key to Mark’s healing. Their own prayers and the prayers and support they received
from their church and community gave Mark and Lisa strength and encouragement. Also crucial was Mark’s positive attitude, willingness to try new things and research the Internet to find more information.
- Asked for support from family and community. Lisa has continued to work full time so Mark could maintain his health insurance. This means that she had to ask for volunteers and train family members, neighbors, friends, and paid caregivers to care for Mark when she was away and for breaks when she was home. She trained them how to
transfer Mark using a Hoyer lift, how to care for his ventilator and feeding tube, how to comply with his eating and supplement schedule, and personal care. Mark had to acquiesce to having family members, neighbors and other volunteers do intimate personal care while Lisa was at work. Care for Mark would have been impossible without their generous help.
- Made the decision for Mark to go on a ventilator. In 2015 Mark was on a tri-pap 24/7 but was no longer
getting enough oxygen to sustain him and his CO2 levels were climbing. Mark and Lisa prayed about whether or not to take this step to extend Mark’s life and after much consideration decided to give Mark every opportunity to heal and stick to Mark’s motto, “Never surrender”. Today they are very glad they made this decision.
According to Mark and Lisa, without ALL of the above, Mark would not have healed. They stress that just doing a few things is not enough, that an individualized comprehensive approach is necessary to heal ALS.
Mark’s full nutritional protocol is below the following two videos.
Mark’s Nutritional Protocol
Today, in 2020, Mark and Lisa continue to tweak Mark’s protocol. They remind those reading this that they started small and added things step by step, over months and years, and took away things that seemed not to be working. These are not recommendations, Mark and Lisa are simply sharing below what Mark is doing at this moment in time that is working for him.

Hello Lisa and thank you for all the information and hard work you put into the fight for living with ALS
I have a question about weight..
What was Marks lowest weight?
I am so sad to say my sister is 70 lbs. and lost all muscle
She is suffering and if I was to approach her family
I do not know if she can be saved as
muscle can not be built back since it is gone
she is 60 years old
Basically I am wondering if with the weight loss and depression/fear is there hope
I am so sad to loose her and I was not in charge of her health
God Bless you for the person you are!
Hi Michelle,
The best way to get in touch with Lisa is to email her at naturalrevitalization@gmail.com. I am sorry to hear about your sister. Keep the faith and positive attitude. There is hope and I hope her family is receptive to natural healing methods.

Have you ever used “Chen”? It’s a muscle strengthened that is banned in Olympic teams.
Anita
Not that we know of. It is not in their protocols.
Dear mark and Lisa, saw your wonderful session at healing als last week. It is such a great story…When you moved to Florida during your journey, did you work with a dietician/naturalist doctor or a physical therapist there. If you did, could you please share his/her number or email address. My wife Juhi Puthur has been fighting this illness for the last six plus years. we wanted to follow your treatment protocol. Appreciate your response

Hi Lisa,
My husband was diagnosed with bulbar ALS this past September. We watched the Sunday segment on LeapXX. We are so glad to have found Healingals.org. On that video you said you would email people with Mark’s latest protocol of treatment if anything had changed since the post on your blog. I would appreciate an update if there is one.
Thank you,
Beth
Hi John,
Sorry for the delayed response. To contact Lisa she ask that you email her at the email address noted at the bottom of the blog post.
Thank you

Hi Mark and Lisa, i believe I heard in the Sunday zoom call last Sunday that there is Whats App group for people using Leap products. I started on Leap2Bfit last week and would love to join the WhatApp group. Can you tell me how I join please.
Thanks
Pat Fogarty
Pat,
Login as a member on HealingALS.org. On the top menu go to PALS Support Resources – Webinars
In the 8/30/20 Webinar recordings click on “Notes”. At the bottom of that document it explains how to join the LEAP WhatsApp group. You need to fill out a confidentiality agreement. It is very straight forward.
Hi Lisa, I have ALS and I recently received Leap2bfit and L serine and I am also using H.E.A.L, can you tell me what product did you use from Solle naturals to clean Mark’s gut?
Thank you very much and God bless you both.
Carlos, Great to hear you are determined to reverse ALS. All of Mark’s Solle products are listed on this blog. If you would like to contact Lisa directly, her email is listed in the bottom of this blog.
Dear Lisa
I am so happy for you and your family for the success you have achieved in reversing Mark’s ALS. May God bless you and we pray for Mark’s complete recovery.
My son was diagnosed with ALS by Dr. Richard Bedlack in Year 2000 while he was a student at Duke in his last year and last semester of Engineering. At that time my son was the youngest patient that Dr. Bedlack had diagnosed with ALS.
My son is on a Vent, completely bedridden and with a PEG.
I am sorry to be of bother to you but would greatly appreciate your input on the following:
1. Can all the capsules/Gel be mixed together with water and taken via the PEG before the meal ?
(In the past we have been putting all supplements together with the meal which I feel is perhaps not the correct way as we could be losing the potency of the supplements)
Thank you very much and May God Bless You and your Family.
Good for you for taking such good care of your son for 20 years! Lots of love there!
Every supplement is different. Some supplements are designed to go with meals and others are designed to take on an empty stomach. The LEAP definitely needs to be taken on an empty stomach.
The supplements that need to be taken on an empty stomach can be mixed with water and taken via Peg before the meal and the ones that are absorbed better with meals can be taken at the same time as the feeding tube food. Have you looked into Kate’s Farm or HEAL as a feeding tube formula? Kate’s Farm is covered by most insurance.
If you have further questions, Lisa put her email at the bottom of the blog.
God bless you and your son in his healing journey.
Can you please give us the name of the naturopathic doctor who helped treat Mark?
Please email Lisa and Mark for that information. Lisa’s email is listed on the bottom of the Mark Manchester blog.
Mark and Lisa,
I admire you both and glad for your progress. I am a 60 year old PALS of 2.5 years. We live in Jacksonville and am interested in consulting with your neurologist. Would you min sharing that contact?
Steven,
Mark and Lisa’s email is listed at the bottom of this blog post. They can also be reached at TheManchesterProject.org In general we have found that neurologists are not helpful in reversing ALS because they have not been trained in Functional Medicine.
Denise, An ALS Warrior
Denise,
who was it that prescribed the L-Serine and other amino acids?
Steve
L-Serine and amino acids do not require a prescription. L-serine was suggested by the neurologist at the ALS Clinic.
The amino acids were in Leap. Leap was suggested by a friend who had very good results from it and it seemed worth a try.
Many pals (app 75%) have steatosis/non alcohol fatty liver. Did mark have liver enzymes elevated (I mean liver enzymes – alt and ast)?
Mark said that he used 9 pound hammer. For how long (since when) and what dose/day?
Thanks
Mark uses 10-15mg of 9 LB Hammer a night along with Grand Daddy Purple.
hello, i’d like to ask: how many mg/day did he use mentioned “9 pound hammer”?
Mark uses 10-15mg of 9 LB Hammer a night along with Grand Daddy Purple.
Hi I was just wondering what kind of cannabis tinctures mark is using (cbd/thc) and was this just at night to aid sleep ?
Mark uses 10-15mg of 9 LB Hammer a night along with Grand Daddy Purple.
Hello, thank you for your sharing. Did Mark had saliva?
Yes, Mark had a considerable amount of saliva.
I am trying to order Heal in a Meal and having trouble getting to the US website. It keeps defaulting to Canada and I am in USA. Any advice on what I’m doing wrong?
Go to HealInAMeal.com. There is a small red bar near the top that says USA. Click on that, then order. If you use HEALINGALS discount code you get 10% off.
Hi I see you are in Florida. Just wondering where? We are in Orlando. If we are close to you I’m wondering about your healthcare professionals. Denise, an ALS Warrior
Hello,
Is there any way that we could reach the person that you guys wrote about and we talk to them we have a few questions. Please let me know.
Since Mark’s story is so popular, we published five hours of video of exactly what they did so that the majority of your questions would be answered. Mark and Lisa also understand that PALS will want to contact them directly and Lisa has generously left her contact information at the bottom of the blog post.
Hi my name is Sun K. Han who has a sister is diagnosed ALS in Korea. Very fortunately I watched a video about Mark & Lisa case for the way of treatment & healing ALS..Could you please allow me to be shared the video information for my sister in Korea??
Hello, your sister would have to register on the Healingals.org website to view the recordings.
Hi this is great, congratulations on marks recovery so far. My wife was diagnosed October 2018 at only 25 years of age, we have been trying different things. Healthy eating, supplements, exercise, pma etc and her condition is steady, I just have a question regarding the supplements you use.. How did you find out what worked best for mark? Was it just a case of trial and error? Or did you get things recommended? And how long do you think it took to be able to tell the difference. Any advice is appreciated greatly! Thank you and well done again very inspiring stuff.
From Lisa: A lot of was trial and error and our own research. Mark was taking some of the Solle supplements which we feel were key to healing his gut. We also consulted with a Naturopath and got testing and more recommendations. Then we took more of the Solle and other supplements and adjusted them as observed Mark. We also got nutritional testing from our regular MD and took these into account. It was through our research and contacts that we found Leap and incorporated it with great results on top of what we were already taking. We found HEAL at the conference and started using that.
In conclusion, it s a lot of research on our own, trial and error, expert advice and testing.
Hi Mark & Lisa
Thank you for your time sharing with us your experience.
I have a question on antibiotics. There were evidences that antibiotics helped temporarily for ALS patients. Albeit once they are stopped symptoms quickly returned even with worse progression. It makes sense they do help if we think ALS has a bacterial rootcause. Mark mentioned that he took so many antibiotics that he got a resistance to whole bunch of them in the end. I wonder if it was antibiotics that helped Mark to recover rather then diet. Would it be possible to share antibiotics Mark used, how often and how long.
From Lisa: The antibiotics Mark has been on the past were because of Strep throat, MRSA, sepsis and from infection after surgery. In fact as a result of the antibiotics, Mark’s gut function got much worse and it we feel delayed his recovery. We now take olive leaf extract and cistus tea for infection, but would, of course, use antibiotics again if absolutely necessary. It is been at least 18 months since Mark was on antibiotics and we both feel he is better as a result.
From Patricia: Healing ALS is about balancing the body and our observation of PALS is that antibiotics upset that balance. The research we have been reading indicate ALS has much more of a chance of having a viral component than a bacterial one. However, things like root canals and other infections and even Lyme are in all or part bacterial and PALS would definitely feel better after antibiotics, because of the infection they are treating.
Was there a change in Marks mental attitude when he turned around ALS? In the video he talks about keeping up hope and at at the same time being ready to “go home” as he puts it. Could you explain how to achieve this?
From Mark: I always try to stayed positive. I saw one friend go from positive to negative to depressed and died within a few months. I could see how his mindset affected him physically. I decided I would not give up. My motto to this day is “Never Surrender”. We prayed a lot about whether or not I would go on a vent and once that was decided, I knew I may live a long time so being positive was even more important. When I got negative, I talked to Lisa and we found ways to turn it around. Everyone has bad days. Decide that tomorrow will be a brighter day. I learned self-hypnosis. I listen to a lot music. Music was especially important when I could not even move a muscle, was on a peg tube and a ventilator. This lasted three years and having a positive attitude was key to getting through this period.
When you can’t move anything as I was, you become more in tune with your body. This has helped me. Sometimes, I know I need more sleep. Some days I tell Lisa I need more enzymes today because my gut isn’t feeling quite right. And it turns out that is what I needed. Staying in tune with what your body needs is important.
Once I started improving of course I was more hopeful, and had a feeling of success. I did not know about HealingALS.org yet, so I began to feel “survivor’s guilt”. I felt guilty because I was improving and others were not. The gifting of the LEAP and spending so much time helping others helps this a lot. Now I know others can reverse ALS too.
Even now I get discouraged with being cooped up since we are still on lockdown in our county in Florida. The beach was the way I recharged my batteries and we have been restricted from going since I am still considered high risk. Often PALS think once they are healed everything will be great. Yet Life’s problems do not go away once your are healed. So you still need to find ways to stay positive. I hope this helps.
Thank you for taking your time to share all you have done. When my husband was diagnosed I too went to work to find out what I could do to help him. He started with Riluzole which was 2 years ago. But after watching the ZOOM meeting with Steven Chockles we both decided to discontinue it. When we first went to the doctors it was because he was having a hard time gaining weight and he came down very suddenly with involuntary muscle movements all over his chest. Before that when he was sleeping one leg would jump and keep me up. I would pay attention to it and I noticed that there was a time pattern to the jumping. The rolling twitches were so large and fast they looked like his body was invaded with alien worms wiggling back and forth raising the skin like a Science fiction movie! IT LOOKED CREEPY! But it did not bother him. The doctors said they had never seen anyone with it that extreme. Well anyway I researched foods and supplements to try and see if anyone of them could help. Whe actually was getting stronger and wasn’t showing signs of swallowing difficulties more with breathing and a little weakness in his grip. He was put on a biPap machine which helped but he started to stay in bed more and I waited on him. He became more and more dependent on the machine and did think he needed to use the cough assistant machine much. To be honest we didn’t know how important it was and how to use it as well as we should have. With the smoothies, good nutrition and supplements he improved so much that his Dr. Said he never gets to tell his patients after the the four month visit they are better. But he did with my husband. He said what ever you are doing keep doing it!
That was a few years ago. Unfortunately there was a time period of two and a half months that I went to see my sister because everything seemed under control. He encouraged me to go because I had not been to visit my sister for about 20 years. Unfortunately my husband and because depressed. He had our daughter to help him out but not friends and other family which I see now how important that is. So when I came back he was skinny and weaker. Within a few months he came down with pneumonia and ended up in the hospital. That was a little over a year ago. He finally gained his weight back but ended up with a trech and a peg. So he is in a foster home for vent patients. I have to be his advocate and I became a citizen scientist to look for anything to help him. I have to get the doctors approval for any supplements and fight for him to be able to take them. It has been hard. He now has a few new problems. One is his gut. We insisted he go see a gastroenterologist for tests. He did not have any disease. I told him I thought his gut biome was off because of the course of antibiotics he had taken over 4 months in between each bout of phenomena. I suggest probiotics and prebiotics but he said no because it would probably make it worse. But he could have a 3 oz. Cup of plain yogurt each day. Well his gut is still very bloated and he burps a lot. His bowel movements are not regular. He is low on energy. He also has severe scoliosis. So when he was so thin and weak and had to always have the bed raised 30 degrees he was not strong enough to keep his back said straight as he normally could. He uses a kettle ball and rides a stationary bike. He walks with a Walker. But because of his being in bed for so long and not moving his strength in his hands and fingers has definitely diminish. First his right hand and the two fingers on the right side of his right hand curt and freeze up. Now it his happening with his left hand. He uses a squeegee ball and those stretching bands. But he is limited in being able to hold a glass and feed himself. Also using the remote is harder and he can barely move his body while laying in bed. He said his arms feel heavy. After watching some personal stories about how others stayed strong and even got better like Mark he decided to fight back. So now his doctor oked him to have Vitamin D3 200 twice a day, ALA and L-Cartine twice a day, along with liposomal Vitamin C 1000 mg twice a day. He also takes Omega 3 and Magnesium 400. He has stopped some of his tube feeding to cut back on calories. It is Organic Complete plant based. He can eat regularly food as long as it is softer or with a liquid and slowly, mindfully sitting up enough not to choke. He has a strong throat. But his gut is an issue for him so we need help with that. We also need to help his hands and spine. He use to go to a clinic that had a chiropractor, massage therapist, acupuncturist, physical therapist and they all worked together to help him. But now his new insurance doesn’t cover that clinic. So we were thinking to search out and find someone who might be willing to come to his home. That was really helping him before. What do you think k about the food Mark takes compared to my husband’s? Also the supplements on Mark’s list. There are others I gave him in smoothies and during the day before he went into the hospital that we felt were good. But we are open to trying new ones that others have had positive results with. Please let me k ow what you think.
Thank you,
Melanie Simms
Melanie, first congratulations on everything you have done and are doing for your husband. It sounds like you have been researching a lot, implementing and that what you are doing is helping.
Mark and Lisa cannot make recommendations, but can certainly share what Mark did to heal his gut. We suggest you want all three Mark Manchester reversal videos and then contact them directly if you still have specific questions. Lisa has generously left her contact information at the bottom of the blog.
Thank you for the ireply but I didn’t see Lisa’s information.
I need to know how much L-Serine to give my husband.
Hello Melanie,
Sorry for the delayed response. You would have him take 1 scoop(the scoop that comes in the jar) twice a day on an empty stomach. You can mix it with the Leap2BFot and take them both together. You can up that to 2 scoops twice a day if you like
Thank you

Hi ! Is amazing your recovery and what you are doing to help people with ALS . My mom has ALS and at this moment her main issue is with her legs and arms. She can barely move them and are very skinny. Did you have this condition ? Could you recommend something for the skinny arms and legs ?
Thanks for any help
Lisa: We do not recommend, we can only share what we did/would do. Mark had very skinny arms and legs and lost 50 lbs. They felt physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) was extremely important. We also did dry brushing and key were his supplements and nutrients. Omegas, healing his gut so he was taking in the nutrients, and taking in healthy nutrients. We strongly suggest doing your own research, and watching all three videos, Part 1, 2 and 3 for more details.
did mark have any comorbidity/other diseases? when exactly he started with a new diet and how he found out that he had a gut problem?
Mark had his gall bladder removed and he had kidney stones. He also has, like about 10-15% of PALS, FTD or frontotemporal dementia. His kidney stones have completely resolved since his holistic approach and his FTD is improved. He did not start his new diet until a couple of years into his ALS. Once his wife Lisa started really studying about balancing the body she realized quickly that the gut was very important and realized Mark was not absorbing his foods. She then learned about biofilm and took the Solle products to heal the gut. The impaction (build up in the colon not clearing) was found by his doctor on a CAT scan for his kidney stones. In our experience virtually every PALS has gut issues.
Hi Mark & Lisa
I think in your first video you mentioned Cistus tea and that you drank a lot of it. I’m wondering if this actually was quite a significant factor in your healing and whether it might be worth listing it in your supplements. (If you have then apologies). I recently watched a video by Dr Klinghardt and he seems to think Cistus tea is incredibly powerful.
Thank you so much you are both amazing.
Yes Cistus tea is part of Mark’s current regimen and it is now added to the list of supplements on the post. He did not start taking it, however, until after he had he majority of his improvements. Mark and Lisa continually tweak Mark’s supplements as he experiences what is and is not working for him.
Hi I was needing to know how much L-Serine to take . I just received it and need to let my husband’s doctor know to write a script so the home he lives in can legally give it to him. The instructions on the can say 500 mg (one scoop) 2 x a day. It that what Mark took or is taking? Need to know ASAP .
Hello Melanie,
Sorry for the delayed response. You would have him take 1 scoop(the scoop that comes in the jar) twice a day on an empty stomach. You can mix it with the Leap2BFot and take them both together. You can up that to 2 scoops twice a day if you like

Did Mark ever have issues with speech as that is how my husbands started and now swallowing and eating is becoming very difficult? Otherwise his strength is fine although he does have muscle atrophy. God bless you guys
Mark was unable to speak, although when he covered his ventilator he could make noises.
Hi, Mark & Lisa’s story and Dr. Richard’s work gives us hope. My father, 68 has been diagnosed with ALS bulbar onset on Jan 21st. His speech and swallowing has got affected. His body is fine. While I am ordering LEAP2Bfit, we’ve started Curcumin, Vitamin IVs and omegas. I am just wondering if you have come across cases with bulbar onset and if there is anything else I can try for him?
Hello Suchi,
Lisa will answer questions about Mark’s protocol and she ask that you contact her through he email address at the bottom of the blog post. Additionally there is a Q&A happening with Lisa Manchester and Kay Cherry on July 12th 2021 at 12:30 Eastern (EST). The link to register will be on the HealingALS.org home page the week before.
Dear Mark and Lisa, thank you so much for sharing such inspirational experiences! How courageous, persevering, diligent, loving and wise you had exemplified your journey for us!
Five years ago I lost a friend that suffered from two years fast progressive ALS, last October, another dear friend at 75 was diagnosed a milder and slower progressing type ALS, till very recently, after starting Reluzole around January, he had no appetite, lost 30 lb in two months, his arms weigh heavily in limbo and he could hardly grip his fingers. We were pretty much at lost about what to do, his wife is considering what Johns Hopkins ALS certer recommended Ratacarva infusions; then, it happened that I opened up healingALS site just in the morning of 4/14, I informed them on your Q&A meeting airing! We went through your interviews and journals on the website in details, we are now starting redo the routines; planning discussing with the doctor(s) replacing Riluzole by L-serine and Leap2BFit, taking HEALinaMeal instead of Ensure… We need a holistic professional who could test toxins, needed nutrition and supplements; is there network resource we could use looking up holistic medical professionals in our local area? And what is the name of the test Mark used to check his allergens and deficiencies?
Thank you again! We are so grateful finding companies and guidance on this road to healing!
Often the best way to find a holistic professional in your area is word of mouth. Definitely check out their website and interview them over the phone before you decide. ifm.org and acam.org are two holistic medical associations where you can look for a professional in your area.
Mark’s test was Nutra-Eval by Genova. He describes the test in Part 3 of the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6Rm7hy40XA
Hi! My husband just got diagnosed with ALS. Did Mark ever use the two FDA drugs or strictly holistic? I am very unsure of those drugs.
Blessings
Mark tried Riluzole but his liver function tests were getting worse and worse so he went off of it. None of the ALS reversals that we studied used either of the two FDA approved drugs to heal ALS. Most either never went on them or were on them for a short period of time. The reason is that they clearly compromise liver function and the liver is essential for detoxification.
Hi lisa and mark!
I’m Valentina, I’m italian. My mom (dely asunta Caputo, 60 years) has ALS (diagnosis 2014 January) and at this moment her has tracheostomy and peg. She speaks with eyes. I don’t understand perfectly American language.. I ask you if you would have the patience to write me a detailed email with all the products you use, from supplements to antibiotics. My mother is already doing a practically vegan diet, gluten-free, and in addition she takes many supplements (doterra essential oils for detoxification, reliv for cell nourishment, and many vitamins). I would like to know in detail everything you have done and taken. Please. Thank you. My email is valentina.defilippo91@gmail.com, thank you very much, god bless you
Shannen,
Good for you for doing so much for your mother.
Every detail of Mark and Lisa Manchester’s full protocol is on HealingALS.org. Just click on the blog and every supplement and diet they are taking is listed there: https://healingals.com/manchester-als-reversal/
There is a homeopathic doctor in Napoli, Italy, who had good success with ALS and I have emailed his information separately.
What an amazing and inspiring story! Much appreciated!
Question: You refer a few times to being friends with the man behind Leap2BeFit. I’ve read about and recently started it, and appreciate your testimonial.
Can you advise why they don’t share the amounts of any of the ingredients? I have never seen a supplement that hides that nd I can’t think of any good reason to do so.
The exact amounts of the ingredients are proprietary. In our experience many supplements do not list the exact amounts of certain ingredients for this reason. What we do know is that the Leap2BFit formula seems to help balance the body and correct deficiencies so the body has what it needs to heal as long as gut function is good so the nutrients can be absorbed.
Thank you so much very interesting I have motor neuron disease For ALS as you call it there diagnosed in 2016 but I have got healthier and doing much better my regime is similar my experience is very similar I’d love to get hold of Dr Richard bed like as well but I don’t know how thank you so much this story was absolutely inspirational and it made me feel I’m not the only one in this world struggling with this but also succeeding
I wish we could have had this info along time ago. My husband was diagnosed in 2016. We went to Boston to see if he could do trial of stem cell but they were only letting people up to age 60 . My husband was 62 at the time. Then he did ratacarva infusions but that made him worse so we stopped. He passed away last March. I am so happy for your husband that he found a way to heal from this horrific disease. Bless you both
I’ve just listened to your video. It was interesting and very helpful. I have ALS for five years now.
Still eating slowly and walking with a walker very slowly. I do have a electric chair design for me.
Can you give me supplements that would be best for me.
I live in Canada Toronto area.
Thx Tony
Hi Mark & Lisa, I really enjoyed your Zoom meeting this morning. Mark you mentioned a complete meal that you take in a shake, that was chocolate, which I take is Solle. Do you use Solle, and Heal in a Meal, as your primary nutrition, rather than cooked meals, With the items you mentioned added in for additional caleries? I am having increased difficulty eating cause nothing tastes good, and causes major stomach pain, so thought the shakes/ smoothies would be just the ticket. Thankyou again for taking the time to share your journey with us. Chris

Has your atrophied muscles restored?
Yes, Mark’s atrophied muscles have been mostly restored and he has recovered most of his strength. He continues to improve. Mark currently uses a walker for balance issues and is working on improving that.
Tôi muốn biết rõ ràng hơn về cách để phục hồi các cơ đã bị teo. Tôi bị bệnh ALS từ năm 2017 và đến nay đi lại rất khó khăn. Cảm ơn nhiều
Translation: I would like to know more clearly how to recover atrophic muscles. I have had ALS since 2017 and have difficulty walking so far. Thank you very much.
Answer: This is answered in the first video. Mark’s atrophied muscles started to recover once he healed his gut and then added the Leap2Bfit product along with other supplements and a very clean diet excluding sugar, dairy, gluten and grains and mostly organic. It did take years for Mark’s symptoms to reverse so it is a process.
Hello.. looking forward to the zoom call this am. I was conference in SLC and was a blessing to meet you both. Wondering if you could talk about AAKG and the Deanna Protocol? Any experience with it? What about IV vitamin C or hyperbaric treatments?
You’re truly a walking miracle!
Thanks for your inspiration.
Mark has not used the Deanna protocol nor AAKG. Nor has he used IV Vitamin C or hyperbaric treatments. Others have found these helpful. It is important to do your own research and seek out the opinion of a holistic medical professional.
Hello dear Mark am happy because you reversed ALS , am ALS patient from 2016 slow progress, please send me your supplements and Vitamins list. Thank you
Mark’s full supplement list is at the bottom of this blog post.
Iam so happy for them, but this is a full time job taking and keeping track of all of these. Plus the big factor is money.
When you only get a small dissabililty check because not 65 you have to pay for these out of pocket and without money it is not possible. We have tried a Go Fund Me a/c but that was not successful so savings has run out. Family members can only do so much financially and physically so people cannot follow such an hour by hour costly program. But My prayers are with Mark for his reversal, which are so few documented cases.
Both time for research, keeping track of the protocols, caregiving and finances are a real challenge for ALS families. Our hearts go out to you and everyone else facing these challenges.
Hi, my name is Melanie and my husband was diagnosed with ALS a little over a year ago. I have become a citizen scientist trying to figure out how to help him. I have found things that we believe have helped him to become stronger. It has been a combination. We are interested in finding out more of what and how the things that worked for Mark turned out. Please contact me at the email address before.
Thank you and stay safe.

Do either Lisa or Mark or any of the professionals and Naturopaths et al consulted have any financial interest in the products used?
Mark’s non-profit The Manchester Project is committed to providing 2 months of free Leap2BFit product to people diagnosed with ALS. So far the project has donated around 250K worth of product to people with ALS in 23 countries. They have no financial interest in the Leap product nor the company. Lisa and her naturopath have found the Solle products to be very helpful, therefore they are distributors, so there is zero financial interest unless you happen to order a product through one of them, and even then it is only a small amount. They use whatever products work and order from Amazon and other places for different products. Lisa stresses that she is sharing what has worked for Mark, and each person needs to find the solutions that work for them.
What kind of naturopath would you recommend?
Find a holistic (functional) medical professional in your area who believes you can reverse your ALS symptoms and can start you on the road to nutrition, supplements and detoxification. As you do your own research you will refine this but a good holistic medical professional can be a godsend to get you started.
